Post: Got a FW 2.70, need a little help

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); right so when i turn my ps3 on i get this error:
if any 1 can help my, it would be much appreciated, its a firmware 2.70

Put a 2.70 or above OFW on a usb and plug it in. Then press Start and Select. I suggest you use 3.55 so you can install CFW later on.

ive tried and a message saying data is corrupted comes up, but the downloads are good from ngu :mad:

Completely wipe the HDD then try it. I had the same problem and that fixed. Wipe the HDD by formating on a pc

im not to sure on how to do that mate would it work the same if i went and bought a new HDD the same size as what was origanally in the ps3? thanks again

Yeah it would but I would wipe it just so I don't waste money, It worked for me but that's not a guarantee that it will work for you. To wipe it all you need to do is put the HDD in a HDD encloser and format with windows or pass a really really strong magnet in front of it.

yes thanks for your help mate, im just going to buy a 40gb HDD for now just to get it up and running then upgrade size, thanks mate

Format your PS3, then update it to 3.55 OFW(Via Recovery Mode.Do not update via Internet!) then Install a 3.55 CFW(Via USB)
