Modded comments do not erase stuff on your ps3. Unless you Data Transfer to another ps3 (OFW Ps3) and if you data transfer then you do lose alot. But if you use a Spoofer then it will not erase everything. You Can Use filezilla and blackbox FTP or comgenies to put on a modded comment

So im guessing a Modded Comment requires a Jailbreak? Because i've seen videos were it didnt require a jailbreak.

Modded comments on the PlayStation does not require a Jailbreak
There is a new backup file that makes a modded comment for you and you can change it to whatever you want
Just look in the forums for a post that has a tutorial on how to do it , I have one myself and it doesn't require a jailbreak
