What the difference between Rebug DEX and PS3ITA Dex? Dont they do the same exact thing? Lastly which one is safer to use.

Not really exact the same things & I've never been on Rebug Dex so I cant tell which one is safer but I didnt got banned for about 1 month even when I mod BO2.

You have to spoof to 4.40 to be able to access PSN.

Download and install Rebug_Update_Package_0.1_4.21.x.pkg from You must login or register to view this content., verify the md5 hash, install it from Package Manager, launch it under Games, follow the on screen prompts, the screen will freeze for a while when you press Yes, do NOT force shut down your PS3 at this stage or else you will get a nice and shiny RSOD! Just be patient and wait for it to finish what it's doing, it will reboot if needed when finished. Once the PS3 has rebooted you can delete Rebug Update Package from your XMB as it is not needed.

After that, you have to change System Mode to Rebug in Rebug Toolbox.

Btw, why are you still on Rebug 4.21.1?? Why don't you upgrade to Rebug 4.30.2??

I too am still on Rebug 4.21 - but, thats how the console came to me when I ordered it. I would love to upgrade, but every time I try to upgrade, I get told that there was "No applicable Update" was found. I put a folder named "PS3" (IN ALL CAPS) in the root of the usb (before this, i formatted the USB to FAT32) then I put a subfolder in the folder named "PS3" - named that one "UPDATE" (in all caps) and then renamed the .pup file to PS3UPDATE.PUP (in all caps).. and I get told that "no applicable update was found."

Any help in updating this old thing would be great. Had it for a week now and still have not been able to create a psn account because the icon is red and every time I try it tells me that a system update is required - go to system update > update from server or whatver. Driving me mad man!
