I recommend looking on Ebay. I would buy the E3 Full package which comes with everything. It should be around $200. As for doing it on slim or phat, personally i would do the slim because phat's are notorious for YLOD/Overheating. Also i do believe once you downgrade your playstation with an E3 Flasher you can then take the E3 flasher out of the first one and use it on the other PS3. (Could be wrong) But if i were you i would only jailbreak only 1 playstation for safety that your JB gets Banned.

i have a phat and a slim and my phat out performs my slim all day, also ignore the comment above the only reason they are "notorious" for ylod is purely down to age if you have a good condition one it will be no better or worse off for ylod just the same, i have a little fan accelerator on my phat and it doesnt go above 60c on the cpu...
