I'm pretty new to modding, (pretty new as is brand new) and I'm looking to learn how to mod Fallout New Vegas just to screw around. I have a ps3 slim (120gb) with the latest firmware and I have literary 0 knowledge of modding. I'd like to learn how to mod the game without jailbreaking, and if I have to jailbreak I'd at least like to not get banned from PSN or get my system bricked. To start off I kinda wanted to put some sort of cheat terminal in fallout to make my character the ideal player (all skills 100, all perks, all S.P.E.C.I.A.L skills 10, loads of caps, etc.) If someone could help me out that'd be great.

You need a PS3 running CFW (Custom Firmware)

will that brick my ps3 or cause me to not be able to go online? If not, how could I put a CFW?

It won't brick your PS3 unless you're stupid and don't know how to follow instructions lol. You could go online with CFW, but there is a high risk of getting banned. You need a PS3 that OFW (Official Firmware) 3.55 or below, or a PS3 with CFW already installed.

well I like to think I'm not stupid and can follow instructions, lmao. But If I make a separate user and play offline on that one, since I don't need to be online to play fallout. Also, I don't have a ps3 with 3.55, I have the latest firmware on my ps3. Is it not possible?
