There will always be a risk of a banned, But to be honest modding is fun. I do it as a hobby Smile

It is good and fun but different from your iPhone. You can get banned so do your research before hand.
Also wrong section.

There is not to install a jailbreak with a program to ps3 that we know, but to jailbreak you will need to downgrade your ps3 to a OFW 3.55 or lower than you can install any other CFW but downgrade you will need a flasher, such as E3 flasher and others. Also you will need to do so research to see if your ps3 can be downgraded by any flasher because there are different types of flasher for different ps3. One last thing, downgrading a ps3 can be a painful thing if you don't know what you are doing, is better if you send it to someone that knows how to do it and you pay them to do it because you can damage your ps3 to the point that i will not work any more.
