Im planning to upgrade it to a 500gb? or a 1tb.
If i upgrade it does it remain 3.55 or do I have to update?:/

It should just ask you for a firmware that's 3.55 or higher. Just install 3.55 OFW, and from there, upgrade to whatever CFW you want.
