But I dont want to loose any data on the one i have. If i data transfer my 4.40 ps3 to the 3.55 OFW ps3 will it stay at 3.55 or will it go up to 4.40. i just wanna know before i do it.

It won't change it to 4.40, but it won't let you data transfer from 4.40 to 3.55. Just install a cfw, and spoof it to 4.40. Then you can data transfer to your JB PS3.
