(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); ok im trying to help a friend downgrade back to 3.55 from 4.30 rebug so he can dump his eid root key but every time he tries to install the 999 downgrader via storage from xmb it just says data is corrupted (yes i i did PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP) and i even tried from recovery menu same data corrupted i went to rebug toolbox and it says qa flag is enabled any tips or anything to help thanks in advance

If qa flag was enabled on 3.55 all he has to do is install 3.55 rebug over 4.30 via recovery menu.

After activating Toggle QA on Rebug you need to Hover over Network and active the debug Settings then in debug you have to enable System Updates.

What you do is install the downgrader 4.25to3.55
Once you do that download the toggle qa pkg and run it
Then go to your network settings just hover over it don't click it
And press this combo at the same time L1 + L2 + L3 + R1 + R2 + dpad_down
If it worked you should see Edy Viewer, Debug Settings, and Install Package Files under network settings if it didn't work just run the pkg again
Now just install your normal downgrader to downgrade back to 3.55 rebug
Then install the 3.55 cfw firmware he was on before updating to rebug
BTW all the downloads you need are in that link and thats how i fixed my error

Thats it hope i helped and make sure to tell him to toggle qa before going to rebug next time

That's right but no need to install it from Recovery Menu, just enable QA from the Rebug Toolbox and install Rebug 3.55.4 from XMB.
