You need a Legit console ID that is working *Unbanned*. And PSID Patcher for your firmware. The hardest part is finding the console ID which is darn near impossible these days, well finding one that isn't shared at least.

Next question is that i have anther ps3 but the bluray player isnt working. Can i use this for the console id, if so how can i get the id off the console.

If your broken BD ps3 is on cfw or is jailbreakable then yeah but there is no way to get console id out of ofw ps3s at this moment in time.

Another problem with the blu ray drive is it won't run PKG's 99% of the time. So you won't be able to open up the Ps store or PSID patcher < Ways to get the console ID off of a CFW. So if you want to downgrade it to get a console ID off of it consider that first. Try and run the psn store Ex. If it just goes to black screen then don't bother with it until you fix the Blu Ray

Most of the time it is the laser that is bad with blu ray drives. If the logic board is ok (and married), then you can run PKG's just fine.

All of the experiences i've had it didn't work. But thanks for that correction.

Thanks guys for the helpfull info. Guess im going to have to try to get the console id some other way, as the ps3 with the broken bluray player is on ofw .
