Yes you can. First dump your eEID Root Key and then install Rebug 4.30.2 from XMB. Then dump your flash, convert it to DEX using C2D, re-write your target id to DEX and swap your lv2 kernel to DEX.

Make dump using eid root key then convert to any rebug cfw and export flash and make it dex using pc

Why doesn't anybody ever remember there are TWO ways of getting to DEX firmware. The Rebug way like what Derektrotter explains and the complete switch like what Choco's tutorial goes over. :/

from looking how everthing is i would say if u wanna go to ps3ita that safest way i think is to go to rebug cex when dex and use the dex downgrade then install ps3ita cause most time with the bricks are from muiltman cex2dex ect might be wrong but i have all ways had good luck going back to one and other lol

The CEX2DEX is the safest, not by much mind you but still is. The full switch makes your console go "hybrid" during the steps while Rebug only "spoofs/emulates" as a DEX machine. Both ways, as long as done correctly, are safe but CEX2DEX is slightly more stable. ^^

So now that youve done the tutorial and have backed everything up all keysndumpsnshit.
you can now buy a 2 terabite drive after you downgrade,keep the FN internet off!! format the drive go back to ofw 4.55 watever.
install a 1000gb in the cfw.

connect and ethernet cable to 3.55 to 4.55, copy and rewrite the param.sfo for 4.55+,blank the keys put .bak , And then data transfer
Now you can daul boot + swap drive on Ofw cex dex,un stop able..to be super gangster id save the consoleid psn ids.buy new ones,and not even use the OGs. idk just thought it be kool. hahahaha

best firmware i think would be HABIB OFW.
