How did you fix this problem? I can't get the cable to go onto the E3 board.

If its a fat PS3 your trying to put the clip you may have to sand the side of the E3 clip a little. If its a PS3 slim it should be fine E3 clips work much better with them.

Lol guys he means the metal casing that house the HDD. There is a piece of metal, from the HDD housing that is in the way for the ribbon to go on the actual flasher. You need to cut that off buddy with some pliers. All I did was grab a good chunk of it and rocked it back and forward until it fell off.

Thanks mate lol I was looking at that thread and them pictures last night. Lol ye it was a bastard to get in. I managed to find a way to do it though and yea I did bend that piece of metal out of the way.
I'm going to put a video of my solution to it on my youtube channel soon.
