So i followed a guide to convert Dex2Cex. it did not work as well. i tried following many guides i have all of my files i just need help. I have fully formatted my hdd and all icons are blue and is states i am on 3.55 firmware but there are Rebug settings on my ps3 below the network settings and when i try to do a system update it stated at the bottom 1.00 or later and it resticts (Greyed out) me from updating via the internet. i have tried firmware after firmware nothing is working. Please i need help to restore it to ofw or cfw i do not care i just want to play on it. also when i went in to a rebug tool it said something about Lv2 Cex target id DEX i am not familiar i really would appreciate some assistance. i will post screen shots, text, call, if i receive a solution i will post a tutorial.

IF you are using rebug toolbox:

then BELOW where you switch between dex and cex ( i think swap lv2 kernal maybe)

you can change the target id idk if it will work for you though...

I already posted a solution for you the same shit happened to me spent 8 1/2 hours trying to get out of 3.55 and the upate was greyed out no matter what i did. you need to dump the eid root key and the then get your dex flash or if you have your first flashcexbin use that run it throught cex2dex and rewrite target id to 84 if your in us then go to rebug tool box and do what infecthost said swap the lvl 2 kernel it'll bring up warnings just click yes on them all.
