I try to put the PS3 into FSM using the E3 Card reader but the light on the card reader just goes red then blinks red again and then about a minute later the PS3 Bleeps and turns itself off.

yh but you need the e3downgrade 12.03.bin

Unplug everything for about 5 minutes, plug stuff back in. Go into the recovery mode of your ps3 (hold power button for ages then when it turns off let go and hold it until it beeps twice) if the menu doesn't show up then your fucked if it does then revert back to 3.55 cfw and try again. or you may need to buy a new card reader.

It doesn't show up. I had the exact same brick as brinkerz and did everything in his tutorial but my E3 Card reader doesn't light up from RED to BLUE while in the right slot of the PS3. It tries to light up blue, but the red light is way brighter than the blue light. And if I buy another E3 Card reader and it doesn't work I have just wasted more money lol

Well, i'm out of ideas then haha. If it doesn't show up then try re-checking all the stuff is connected up inside the ps3, you might have nudged it and moved something out of place, make sure the clip is connected correctly and everything is linked up to the hard drive reader correctly. Then turn your ps3 on with the card reader unbrick method and if it still doesn't work then fuck knows, i think i had something like this a while back with a 3.41 modchip. I paid 90 quid for it and when i got it i tried it and nothing happened, it just stayed red blinked then stayed red with the ps3 on.

I don't have a Torx Screwdriver :/

Should I buy another E3 Card reader from a different website and try it?
