No this will not unban your console.

Step 1 is optional, it's just a backup of your flash so that you can recover with a hardware flasher in case something goes wrong.

Yes it is possible however once you get up to a 4.xx FW you will need a PSID-Patcher for that certainFW which you can get online just search it and there you go, and then a VALID CID! Which you can only obtain from another CFW PS3 that is not banned.

ok and how would i obtain another one how would i find one do you know of anywere and even if the console is banned i can still data transfer and host on my main ps3 right?

You will have to get one from another CFW PS3 and yes you can still data transfer to your OFW PS3.
