I can access safe mode by holding my power button until I hear two beeps. I tried restoring the file system and rebuilding the database, but the PS3 won't go past "preparing... please wait." Clicking system update just freezes my PS3. I thought of clicking "restore PS3 system" but I am afraid that this will clear my jailbreak. Does anyone how this option will affect my jailbreak or how to fix this problem?

Doing that wont clear your jailbreak lol. nothing will besides updating firmwares.

I tried it and it seems to be working again but I did loose all of my installed things. At least its working.

you are on dex?and you chance any debug settings before the freez comes out?

you installed the rebug update pkg for 4.31 instead of 4.21 to fix this you need to re-install 4.21 rebug then next time install the pkg for 4.21 not 4.31

And how do I re-install Rebug 4.21?
