My Ps3 Is Caught In The Update Loop

One Day I Turned On My Ps3 And I Wasnt Paying Attention To It, When I Came Back It Was Updating!!

I Dont Know Which Firmware It Was Updating To But, I Was On 3.55 KMEAW If That Matters.

The Model Is CECHH01 And Its phat.

If Anyone Could Help It Would Be Appreciated.

Did you cancel the update? And I would just not connect it to the internet. I don't anyway. But I hardly use mine.

Yes I Did Cancel The Update But It Was Progressed To Far , And Now Everytime I Turn It On, It Starts Updating

To stop this, the only way I found was to get and new Harddrive. You do not need to keep the harddrive, just put it in your ps3. It will cancel the update and then you can put in your old harddrive and return the newer one.


Or you can take out the one in you ofw and put it in the cfw.

update loop comes if you have a bad harddrive on your ps3 like bd drive or wifi or else..format your hdd on pc to fat32 and try again..go rocovery menu and install kmeaw again..

wow never heard of such a problem. but why could you cancel the progress? i think its not possible to interrupt a firmware update or am i wrong

I think I forgot a step. Put the 3.55 hdd into your ofw. That should format it

omg this happened to me and when i came back my ps3 was on 3.73 ofw i was so mad but i sold the ps3 and got a new jailbreak
