(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello guys! i was on cex before, and i wanted to get dex, so what i did was i went to 3.55 ofw i took dump used eid root key stuff etc etc, i then made my cex fllaash to a dex flash, renamed it etc, then ran the .norbin file in multiman and then i got to dex, (I might have missed a few steps in telling this thread, but i used the kmeaw 3.55, and special otheros++ super pup, dont remember what its called)

Anyways, so now i ended up in 4.21 Ps3ita Dex, And i cant possibly run multiman while my friend can, but thats fine i dont care.
what i need help with is, if i can just upgrade to Rebug DREX 4.30.2? from ps3ita 4.21 DEX?

It confuses me since its rebug "DREX" and not "DEX", thats what gets me scared,

or if i need to downgrade to 3.55 DEX and then upgrade to Rebug DREX 4.30.2?

or if i need to go back to CEX (IDK HOW, but i have the cexflash.norbin and dexflash.norbin i was told i needed one of thoose files to be able to go back to CEX, but i have it) and then go to rebug 4.30.2 CFW CEX, and then dump and then eid root key stuff, (the same things i basicly did with ps3ita) and then go to 4.30.2 CFW DREX?

Im pretty scared of bricking my ps3, i dont want to do that, and i know dex and rte/rtm will ban my CID bla bla bla!

Please do help with a detailed thread/post, I will appriciate it allot! btw my ps3 is a phat chechL.

you can install rebug drex over ps3ita dex..do it over recovery menu..and after install drex you can switch back to cex with a valid cex flash dump back to cex via rebug toolbox

Yes it's perfectly safe to install D-REX on top of any DEX CFW. All REX and D-REX CFWs contain both CEX and DEX kernels, the only difference is that REX installs in CEX mode by default so it is installable on top of CEX CFWs and D-REX installs in DEX mode by default so it's installable on top of DEX CFWs.

Now the problem is that D-REX might not install on top of ps3ita's DEX CFW in particular, some users have tried and it failed to install. So just try it, it will either install or not install, no harm will be done to ur ps3.

If it doesn't install, u'll have to downgrade to 3.55 DEX and then install D-REX.
