Post: PS3 Factory Service Mode Help

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I found an old ps3 in my attic without a bluray drive
and remember why i left it there. it has a 3.55 cfw on it but
is stuck in factory service mode and i cant get it out :/
I remember trying the LV2Diag stuff a while ago and couldnt get it
to work. I also remember asking around and not getting an answer
which was pretty annoying. Is there anyway i can get it out of FSM
while it doesnt have a bluray drive?

Thanks

Files:
Enter FSM lv2diag.self: You must login or register to view this content.
Enter FSM jaicrab lv2diag.self: You must login or register to view this content. (Do not use this one)
Exit FSM lv2diag.self: You must login or register to view this content.
You also need a USB dongle and Rogero's 3.55 CFW...

If I remember correctly you might not need the dongle because it's for getting into FSM mode. So I don't believe you need to bother with Step 2-3. If this doesn't work then try step 2-3 just because:P

1. Turn PS3 off by the standard way and then unplug
2. Stick USB dongle in rightmost port
3. Use Power + Eject combo and PS3 should turn off
3. Go onto computer and put the Enter FSM lv2diag.self file and Rogero's firmware onto a USB storage device (Make sure Ps3 is off/still off)
4. Put the USB storage device in your rightmost and simply plug it back in and turn it off
5. Wait a good 5 minutes at least to see if HDD light is blinking
6. If it is let it keep going until it turns off, if not..... I really don't know what to tell you.. Except trying to use the other Enter FSM lv2diag.self file
7. Delete the files on your USB and replace them with the Exit FSM lv2diag.self (Make sure you have no tampered with the PS3 at all since it has turned off from before)
8. Plug in the USB you have put the new file on and turn on the PS3.
9. Wait
10. After waiting for a very short time it should have turned off by now and you can turn it back on and you should successfully be out of FSM modeUpside Down Happy

Hope I helped!
