I'll first start by explaining from the beginning to give you more of an insight of my situation. This is my first post on these forums so bare with me. I've been using a 3.55 CFW ps3 for a while but since there weren't any spoofs to get to 4.46 on this firmware & MW3 mod menus required rebug firmware i decided to update to 4.21.2 REX firmware. I then followed a tutorial on youtube and successfully changed from CEX to DEX so now when i go to the rebug toolbox and view system information everything is on DEX. My console has recently been banned & i have purchased a working console id from ebay however when switching to that ID using PSID Patch by Stoker25 i was still unable to sign in so i contacted the seller on ebay and they told me if its not my console id that is banned it must be my PS id. He gave me a PS id so i saved it as "psid.txt" and placed it on the root of my USB drive along with my "consoleid.txt".

I launched PSID Patch by Stoker25 & Pressed L1 which successfully changed my console id from all zero's to the one i placed in the text file. I then press R1 but nothing happens, i get no message and my PSID at the top of the screen stays EXACTLY THE SAME. I am simply at a loss as i am convinced it is my PS id which is letting me down from getting online & i know how easy these are to get hold of whereas i payed £40 GBP for a console id. I've watched various tutorials on youtube and they all seem to do the same as me however when they press R1 their PS id changes.

I'm seriously at a loss so i'm asking you guys if you can help? Any support would be appreciated!

You paid 40 GBP for a id?And you need to make a file called psid.txt

Yes, i couldn't find one anywhere else & although i have 2 other working PS3's i couldn't find a way to extract the console id from them so i bought one online. I have made that file & placed it onto the root of my usb but still no change in PSID at the top of my screen when using PSID Patch.

OMG this is simple, Your using the wrong PSIDPatch for your CFW if your on DEX you need Rebug 4.xx DREX PSIDPatch and if your on CEX you need Rebug 4.xx CREX PSIDPatch once you have installed the correct PSIDPatch pkg you will be able to change your PSID.

yea you need psid patcher 4.40 dex version
