I have a CECH-2103A- PS3 SLIM.. i am currently on 4.46 OFW

And i was wondering if i can downgrade to 3.55 without e3 flasher and without opening up my console..

Once you go beyond 3.55 you cannot downgrade without a hardware flasher. Guess what?, you can't install downgrade flasher without opening up your PS3.

Not true 100%
If your PS3 is a certain model it cannot be downgraded to 3.55 why because the lowest FW it stored was 3.60 or 3.56.
Would need a certain E3 flasher to do it and not sure that model can be downgraded to 3.55 or lower.
Need to check what the lowest FW you can go to.

Lets think about this for a second. If you went passed 3.55 that means you were on 3.55 or below witch means you can always revert back.

Let me break it down for you-

All phats can be downgraded
all slim 2k can be downgraded
Some slim 2.5k can be downgraded (Run minverchk to see base factory fw 3.56 and lower only can be downgraded)
slim 3k and 4k cannot be downgraded but optical disc emulator is out for them or shipping any day now.

I do this for a living so yeah. Oh and to OP your slim is 100% downgradable with flasher. Teensey, progskeet, e3 etc.

4.46 CFW uses the 3.55 keys. You need to downgrade to 3.55 first and upgrade up.

I know that it uses 3.55 keys. I meant a 4.46 CFW based on 3.55.

Would it be possible to flash to a 4.46 Rogero CFW, for example?
