Last time I been on here, you could only jailbreak using a ps3 on firmware 3.55. Now i'm pretty sure this is still the case, but yet I go on Youtube and there are all these videos on how to jailbreak 4.46 and they all have good ratings and comments.

I'm just wondering if this is truly possible? Without using the expensive ass e3 flasher.

Nope a OFW 3.55 or 3.41 is required to jailbreak a PS3. The only way to downgrade a PS3 with the firmware 3.56+ is to use a E3 flasher. All the videos on YouTube are fake and the ratings etc too. ^^

Also, an E3 Flasher cannot downgrade all consoles. Your console has to have a lower default or have a default firmware of 3.55 (The Firmware that it was on when you bought the console.) Otherwise it will not be able to be downgraded.
