If you are on rebug 4.30.2, you have to download the update file from rebug.me

The first link contains an update for your firmware.
Download it. The way rebug does things, that file is just another text file for links. This is fine. Download the actual .pkg file they provide from those links. (You must login or register to view this content. will only be a file to another link with the actual download)
Now install/run on your PS3 and it will reboot. Once it is finished, go into the rebug toolbox.
On the second column, change the top option to "rebug" and Ps3 will reboot. Go back, change second option to "DEX".
Go to the last column and the very last option. Change it to the third option "84 (CEX)"
Close the toolbox, sign in.
Every time you turn your PS3 off, you must do that last step again. The eid number resets itself and must be put back to "84 (CEX)"
