Downgrading to 3.55 costs money and 4.46 is free? Can I play pirated games on 4.46 cfw as well?
I just checked Youtube and saw hundreds of videos about 4.46 cfw. What are the benefits?

there is no such thing is 4.46 CFW, all the vids on youtube are fake and have viruses or make you do infinite surverys so they get money.

There is a reason they are hidden behind surveys...they are fake. There is no such thing as a cfw above 3.55. You need to downgrade with a e3 flasher or progskeet. Every video on you tube about a 4.46 cfw is fake. Notice how the video you links has "comments have to be approved" so the video uploader is only approving comments which make this seem legit like people asking questions who know no better.

3.55 jailbreak lets you unlock the full potential of your PS3. Letting you run applications/homebrew that normal OFW wont let you run at all. 4.46CFW is kind of installing 4.46OFW but still being on 3.55CFW underneath, I would say like emulating 4.46ofw on 3.55cfw, letting you enjoy the latest games that require you to be on a higher firmware and also you'll be able to login into PSN.

Yup downgrading from 3.56+ OFW does require hardware currently. So, that hardware or service has a price to pay. And yes 4.46 CFW is free to download.

Well, I don't like to say pirate, but you can definitely make back-up of your game(s) and as well play the back-up(s) off your HDD without having the actual disc inserted.

Benefits of 4.46CFW is that your current and able to play current games coming out and able to go online. But, be careful when going online cause you might or eventually get ban for being on CFW. There are way around it, but that is another topic =P

install rebug or rogero over your 3.55 cfw if you have QA enabled.
