You may consider this a stupid question. However, could I use these certain XBOX programs... to get a modded "RDR2_layer0.rpf" and take that code and replace it, for PS3? Or is it totally just going to break the game?
I know. Just curious on this.. Nothing out like that for ps3. I was thinking maybe it could give me some direction on whats different and whats not.
Right now i've got hundreds of un-readable by the human, .DAT files for the ps3 in the rdr2_layer0.rpf
So? any help would be appreciated.
+rep for good help
"When you've downloaded those files, you need to open Xbox Backup Creator. You might get a error message telling you that something hasn't loaded correctly, but that doesn't matter because you will only be using it to edit the ISO data. When it's opened up, click Image Tools and then click Image Browser. Using the Image Browser, click File and in the menu, click Open Image File, and select your ISO. It might take some time to load the ISO, just be patient. Right-click "rdr2_layer0.rpf" and select Extract, and extract it to your desktop or any other desired location.
After rdr2_layer0.rpf is extracted to your desktop, extract the .RAR file you downloaded ("original red dead redemption patch.rar" or "undead nightmare mods.rar") to the same location you extracted rdr2_layer0.rpf to. After that, open up ppf-o-matic3.exe and when it's opened up, click the floppy icon next to "ISO File". In the "Open CD-Image..." dialog, select the rdr2_layer0.rpf file you extracted earlier. When you've selected the file, click the floppy icon next to "Patch" and select the "patch.ppf" file provided in the .RAR. When having done all that, click the Apply button and wait for the program to apply the mod.
When you've patched (a.k.a. modded) the rdr2_layer0.rpf, insert it into the ISO by opening up the Image Browser and right-clicking "rdr2_layer0.rpf" and selecting Replace. Replace the rdr2_layer0.rpf with the patched (a.k.a. modded) rar_layer0.rpf and click File > Close Image to finalize the image. After that, burn it using ImgBurn (find the tutorial on google or on Se7enSins) and hotswap it in order to play it or install it to your hard drive (find the tutorial on google or on Se7enSins)."
