Post: Ps3 4.46 OFW Jailbreak Question

i was wondering, since i have not modded in about 2 years and now to come back to see Debug or whatever it is, and im now confused like mad!!

im currently on 4.46 OFW !! and is there any way i can jailbreak my ps3!! with all these new debugs, cfw!! there is no proper tut. out there that i can follow or even find info out on!! all i want it for is for multiman so i can play a few games, i dont mind about psn im not a mad gamer online so i just want to use it for a bit of with offline line games :unsure:

you cannot jailbreak/mod any firmware above 3.55.
that means you need a ps3 running 3.55 or lower in order to install a 4.XX rebug/debug firmware.

you can downgrade (if you have the right ps3 model) any ps3 bought before 1-1-11 can be downgraded.
if you have a ps3 that is bought after that date you can consider to use a Cobra ODE or 3key (optical discdrive emulators) these allow the booting of homebrews on ofw but they are quite expensive and require soldering on some models

thanks for clearing that up! is there anyway of downgrading with a normal USB, like making an E3 Flash something like that ? properly a stupid question !! worth a shot

no, you cannot downgrade a ps3 using a normal
or self executing usb stick, this was possible on
3.50 or lower (al you had to do was buy a e3 card reader), if you try that on 3.56 or higher, you will be stuck in factory service mode, and will make your console useless
