Im a bit new at the ps3 mod community. As you can tell from the title, i need to downgrade my ps3 with rebug 4.46 To 3.55 in order to get the eid_key_file and convert to DEX.
unfortunately not QA flaged

What you do is go to You must login or register to view this content. and press ctrl+f and type 999 you will see 999 downgrader. Download that and put it on usb then do it via recovery. after that you have to install 3.55.x rebug to get off the 999. if that doesn't work, rebug.me should have a better tut on how to do it

See the thing is i everytime i do it i get a "Data corrupted message" (8002F997) Error.

Here how I tried correct me if im wrong please:

1) I downloaded the "REBUG_3.55.4_999_DGR_PS3UPDAT.PUP" File
2) renamed the file "UPDAT.PUP" i Placed it on the a new formated fat32 usb in the the correct folder: PS3 --> UPDATE
3) on XMB Settings --> Systemupdate --> update from media - then it shows - Version 3.55.3 REBUG RE - '999' DOWNGRADER <-- which is correct, then I press OK --> Accept bla bla and Starts the process. Then it loads a bit and then, it comes with the error message (8002F997) Data corrupt.

Do it via the Recovery Menu.

i tried as you said in the recovery mode, but it couldn't find a usable software to update, it want me to put a minimum 4.46 and up software, while im trying to downgrade to 3.55.

anything else ive missed?
