if yes can I play online on game without getting banned?

No, the lowest firmware to jailbreak is 3.55, any other people telling you otherwise is a fking liar. Yes you can play online without getting banned but at some extent maybe a 5% chance of getting banned, just remember never to use homebrew apps whilst online.
