(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I want to jailbreak the Slim now, I bought it before even 3.55 was released, so I believe that I'm fine, I'm currently on 4.46 on the Slim, it still needs to update.

Edit:I have a CECHA12 model

What firmware are you on? If it's been that long your firmware should be below 3.55. If that is the case all you need to do is find the CFW of your liking and follow the guides. There are plenty of tutorials floating around this site in this section on how to do so etc....

Found out that my slim was before 3.55 when it was bought, and the fat one is a relic, being one of the non-produced variants for a very long while, also able to play PS2 games.

I tested my Slim PS3 by IFcaro's tool to check if it is capable to downgrade before the 3.55 patch, it can, turns out that it can be downgraded to 3.40, I currently have 3 PS3s, one which is the oldest model as I mentioned, another FAT model which is capable to go back to 1.90, and the Slim, able to go to 3.40, I'm going with the Slim since the one that I mentioned needs a new hardrive, here is a pic that I took when I tested to what patch my slim can be downgraded to:

Yeah there's Rogero 4.46 to support your needs, or you can update to 4.50 and install Rogero 4.50.
I can do this all for £30 or you can do it your self.

Yea I just saw your shop a couple of mins ago, the problem is, I'm broke and live in the UAE, so its going to be pretty costy as all my saved money is going to get paid to the guy fixing my airsoft gun, so I'll try Rogero's, though your shop is definetly a considerment.
