I have an ofw ps3 which I am trying to install GTAV on, but the is an error code that comes up at 2% of the installation. ERROR 80010038
I contacted sony and they gave me a few things to try so I can install the game but come to find out none of them work. I came up with an idea to DataTransfer to another ps3 but at 40% of the transfer I was prompted with the same error 80010038, so I gave up trying new things and went for a FULL FORMAT so my ps3 will be clear of problems.

The same goes for my CFW ps3 (Rebug upgraded toRogero 4.50) I can't install pkgs that are bigger that 4gb from the xmb, so I have to use proDG tool to install the pkg

Reason
The 80010038 error occurs when for the following:
1) bad HDD
2)Corrupt Files being installed
3) bad internet connection when downloading games


FIX
I had this problem on my CFW and OFW, and I fixed both of them. When u see this error just do a FULL FORMAT to do a clean wipe of the HDD,but the is one fall to it. All downloaded content will be lost so to save time do a back of the ps3 before u format. If I read correctly then ur ps3 should start working with no problems

Dude, first off you cant data transfer a game if you didnt get it from the store. or atleast be able to run it!

I called for the OFW(can u read) I got the 80010038 error installing GTAV ON MY OFW AND I GOT THE SAME ERROR AGAIN DOING A DATA TRANSFER

rap files won't transfer and sometimes dex disables data transfer
