(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi, I'm trying to downgrade a PS3 slim CECH 2511A, got good NOR dumps, but when I load into my SD the downgrade.bin file, and start the E3 with the sixth switch up I got error 11001000.

The log files reads the following:

One Key downgrade mode.
start checking...OK.
metldr not supported.

So far downgraded and updated CFW many times, so I'm used to this process, but it's the first time something like this comes up. I would appreciate any kind of help with this problem.

The model should be downgradeable, the clip is well positioned.

Downgrade.bin is very unreliable don't suggest even using it. You got to add extra pressure to your clip that usual for it to work. Try pushing down on your console at the same time. I prefer using the auto patcher way much better.

Edit make sure you use it with your working bios.

are you sure it is downgradable? as METLDR not supported indicates its not.... can you get us the datecode?
BTW, are you tyring to do the Downgrade.bin with FSM thing??

The nature of my problem has changed. Didn't really do anything new, but now it just shuts down automatically in a few seconds. I think it may be bricked. Now I don't know what to do.

I can't seem to find it. It isn't where it should be. Already googled where the datecode should read, but in my PS3, seems it's missing.
Also, I don't know about an FSM thing, the files I use were just given to me, and I've been using them without question so far.

Thanks for answering so fast.

Like Cesei, said was correct you need re-seat the clip on the chip and add pressure.
Also, you should update your E3 flasher with the Samsung update.bin file

And Master0wn3r, has a point. you should of check with MinVerChk to see if you can be able to downgrade.

Lastly, yeah you bricked your PS3. email me: [email protected] and I can help you. Lets hope you ps3 can be able to write to the NOR. Also use my tutorial on how to use the E3 flasher. Be sure to grab the files under the description, including the Samsung update.bin

nice reply, i was planning to tell him more or less the same when had replied....
as your ps3 is 2.5K you have to check if it is 3.55 or lower... you CAN downgrade 3.56 ps3s but they cannot be done with the downgrade.bin way.... you have to mod the flash and install 4.XX CFW directly over it... and those models cannot toggle QA

Thanks. So far I've been using some tutorial to get my ps3 back. So far so good, by putting my ps3 on flash fun mode with the E3 it doesn't shut down. Now I gotta patch my NOR dump using the PS3 NOR Patcher, but it closes every time i load any of my backups. Tomorrow I'll try to send you an email to try and get this solved.

I thought every CECH 2xxxx would be downgradeable. Isn't this right?
