LASTLY if you --->HAD<--- to give a percent on the chances of being banned, what would it be? Like as long as you aren't stupid and mod call of duty all day and stuff like that.

You can get banned from running hombrew while online, pirated games, emulators etc. I would suggest to turn off auto-signin. Also download Multiman Stealth. I have been banned (console and account) and it is very hard to get online after that unless you purchase or find a console id.

Hi svrob I just got started a few weeks ago and ill give you my experience as not too many will take the time to do so here and Andrew that's great advice I never sign in until after I have done what I need to do on multiman I haven't found any roms yet but don't go online on either of them.. depending on what you want to do such as real time modding you need to be on 4.50 rogero spoofed to 4.55 4.55 doent support ccapi so make sure you make the right choice otherwise you will be having to downgrade n reupgrade again. I rtm so im on rogero 4.50 spoofed.. Now if you rtm you need to get ccapi as well as control console.. now with control console you have an option which I love and that's to change you cid,which you can buy one or like I did search forums in other sites and use em. Finding a working cid is a piece of cake! The problem is that it gets banned within hours usually, some last 20+ hours though, and I'm sure that you don't get kicked off PSN once the cid has been banned, so you can keep on playing until you d/c from psn.

But of course the accounts get banned as well, so better just use one besides your main account, and don't care about what happens with it, just play for the sake of playing online..

The chance of being banned when using a private cid is smaller, as long as you don't rtm or cheat or anything which you can't do with the official firmware, and take the right measures before going online. But even then, you will eventually get banned, some people have been going on for years, some months, and some only a few days.

The question is: Are you stupid or not? Like you asked, playing ''hot'' games online with cfw isn't the way to go at all. Yet that is what the mainstream does. And that's exactly why we have been unable to estimate how big the chance is that you will get banned.. cod ghost noobs with mods get to vote on those, and of course they have been banned after 5 minutes.

Welcome to the world of Custom Firmware, My advice to you is always have a link bookmarked to a site that posts Console Id's I would show you a link but I do not know the posting rules about links. Anyways "Just Incase" your console ID gets banned you'll be able to get back online quick and fast. I reccomend PS3ITA and Or Iris Manager as they can change your console ID aswell and sticks to it so when you launch either homebrew it loads the last console ID you've placed in there. I also reccomend PS NINJA for deleting history it has lots a great features to choose from. Lastly I HIGHLY RECCOMEND using Rebug 4.46 along with 4.55 Spoofer (For Online) if you want to use CCAPI and Real Time Mod on CEX. -Your welcome buddy this is my experience...Oh and dont be dumb and go online while using Homebrew/Emulators

You can RTM using ccapi check the ps3 mods sections, for Games i suggest using torrents with a good amount of seeds use kickass.to
