First of all your PS3 needs to be on firmware version 3.55 or below, to check your firmware version scroll over to the settings tab on the PS3s XMB, then find the system settings icon and click on it, then find system information in the sub menu, click on it and some text information should come up showing your PS3s system software (firmware version), IP address, MAC address and HDD space.
If your console is on 3.55, then this is where you can find CFW:
You must login or register to view this content.
Download and install 3.55 CEX CFW. DO NOT install 4.XX CFW or DEX firmware first (you need to convert your console to a debug unit to use DEX CFW).
Put the file on an empty USB stick in this folder structure: PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP.
ONLY INSTALL CFW IF YOU'RE ON 3.55, OTHERWISE YOUR PS3 COULD BE BRICKED. DO AS YOU WILL AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Number 1 thing is you're ps3 needs to be 3.55 : its IMPOSSIBLE to downgrade without a e3 flasher as of right now.
You'll find MILLIONS of vids saying REAL 4.46 JAILBREAK NO SURVEY there usually fake by bricking you're ps3 or being a kiosk.
If you do have a 3.55 ps3 msg me and i can help you with this.
