No you cant jailbreak above 3.55 and yes you can downgrade your ps3 from 4.50 if its the right model.

I believe the model is CECHK01 80gb. Please tell me if I can downgrade on this or direct me to a list of compatible models.

You can always send it to someone to have it done and also have your PSID stolen =0/
It is always good to have an e3 flasher just incase something bad were to happen the Ps3
