(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Guys I have an old PS3 phat which I don't use and was thinking of getting it sent to England to have it reverted back to custom firmware 3.55 at the minute the machine is on 4.50 I think but I would be new to the modding scene of PS3 and would like to know if anyone has the time to answer what would be the benefits of getting the machine jail broken with custom firmware and what would be the best of the custom firmwares like I said guys I am new to this and really don't know and hopefully from the experts I would like to know the benefits of getting a jail broken PS3 please excuse the possibility's of stupid newbie question's :confused:

Run homebrew

Yeah if your wanting to backup games and mod them, then absolutely. Go for it bro! Won't be able to do any of that stuff unless you do jailbreak. Just make sure whoever your wanting to send it to has high Rep and is trustworthy. Good luck mate, and if you decide to send it off to get JB, that's a perfect time to nothing but reading about what your wanting to do on this site! A lot of good people have spent countless hours putting together awesome tutorials to help people out... Just research while waiting bro! It'll pay off!
