(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello, I was just wondering if super slim PS3s can be jail-broken because I heard you need to downgrade to 3.55 to jailbreak and that since the super slims came out after 3.55 someone told me that if a console is made after 3.55, it wont support it. I have a super slim with 4.50 that was manufactured in October of 2012, All I want to be able to do is use the real time mod menu and I'm pretty sure you need to have a jail-broken PS3 to do so. I would greatly appreciate any help with the real time mod menu or the jailbreak because I'm not very good at how to do either of them.

you cannot jailbreak/mod/downgrade a superslim, the only consoles you can downgrade after 3.55 are some 3.56 base FW consoles.
if you still think you can downgrade, go ahead, you can dump your NOR but cannot mod and write it back and your ps3 will end up as a black brick

Thank you for letting me know that before I broke my PS3. However I have another PS3, this one is a slim that was manufactured in August 2011 and is currently running 4.50 as well. I was wondering if I could jailbreak or use real time mods on that one.

Ah s*it it said 3.66 >.< . Well i guess it isnt that bad, ill just see if i can find a ps3 online that is either jailbroken or has a low firmware or something. Thank you so much for all your help and I really appreciate it.

Yes you need a PS3 ON CFW in order to RTM.
