I have been inactive from PS3 modding for a couple years. I stopped when the big thing was modding MW2 with the patch files. That being said, I still have my PS3 on 3.55 KMEAW. The main issue I have is the bluray drive does not work ... the lens is bad. The bluray board is fine, so I am allowed to install packages and run them. When I modded MW2, I would simply put the patch file into the MW2 save on the 3.55, then data transfer to my up-to-date PS3 and run off of there. Obviously now the modding has changed and it seems like RTE is the big thing. What would the best setup be for me to run without my PS3 being able to read a disk? Do I stay 3.55? Update to a later version? How would I get game backups in order to play them on my PS3?
