Ive bought PS3 from my friend (3rd try will work lol) and its CECH 2503A. I have looked at the master custom firmware thread and it says that it comes with either 3.50 or 3.60 and that i cant go on 3.55 or i will brick.

When i did minimal version check it showed that minimal version is 3.40.

Can I downgrade it to 3.55 without bricking? Can i then convert it to DEX safely? Its my third PS3 and i dont want to brick it like the last ones.

Its says you can go to 3.40 or later so you can go to 3.55

So I can use the typical method of downgrading with out any worries of bricking another PS3? I already lost around £150 on 2 PS3 that got bricked earlier and i dont want to waste this one

You can talk to cesei he downgrades ps3 if you live in the uk

I have flasher and want to do it myself but i just want to be 110% sure nothing could go wrong.

If you want nothing to go wrong you can ask cesei or libra7ry so you can be 110% sure nothing could go wrong.

Well im gonna do it myself if you say that it wont brick on 3.55. Wish me luck tomorrow cos i borrowed my Torx screwdriver to my friend

If MinVerChk says 3.55 or below....then you my friend are good to go.
