If I am interested in Real Time Modding games, Hosting games, Making Infection Patches, Unlocking game content....then what firmware should I install??? I am concerned that if I install too new of a version and then need to downgrade again that I'll have to have it sent out again. I have noticed that most of the RTM tools and such people offer on these sites say DEX required. For what I want to do, what FW and what Version?? Thanx

Don't get CEX, either get 4.46 dex rebug, or 4.50 ita dex, I personally like 4.50 ita dex better bcuz its almost like 4.46 dex rebug but u get to access the psn store

i always follow rebug, 4.46 rex (dex) they always make the best firmware, to get psn access you need to install the unofficial rebug updater on normal mode then change it back to debug to spoof.(like any rebug updater).
i have been using rebug since i got my 2 ps3s jailbroken about 2 years and never have had any problem with it.

ita also is goof firmware but i feel comfortable with rebug as i can change to cex anytime i want thats all.

I would go with 4.50 ITA ( DEX ) Stable, noob friendly. Plus there is a lot of tuts on here & Youtube. Its what I'm on. Plus you get banned less fast.

Hey fellas, I appreciate you taking the time out of yer daily grind to help me out, very solid of all of you. Ok, I'm pretty much thinking its gonna be a form of DEX...lol. Now I gotta research into the different versions of Rebug...at least my search is a helluva whole lot narrower! The guy downgrading my ps3 initially mentioned REX with confidence....until I told him what my intentions were (RTE, RTM, etc...). I'll keep ya'll posted, --"POPPING SMOKE"---

Roger that. Appreciate the input. I might look deeper into REX, was just concerned about being limited with few options.... Hell, having no options is the main reason i decided have my PS downgraded (.....aaand wanting to turn my COD character into a walking/flying AC130) lol.

Lol sweet with rex you can use cex and dex tools you can switch from dex and cex easier more options

Freshly flashed, downgraded to 3.55 then (taking your advice)...brought back up to Rebug REX 4.46? Im totally tearin at my gear and get online and tear some freaking ass up!!!....BUT WHOAH! So I take a min, stop and do the ONE thing that I attribute more to my surviving three tours overseas...I THINK. I go through the steps of what I remember...which isnt much...but thats cool, I was raised in the service learning 90% of what i did from "referencing" or reading/learning....so i dig into the defragmented/toxic hell that my hdd has become on my pc from the accumulation of mounds of .txt, .cfg, .csg, files- all the "greatest"and flashiest usb cfg mod menus...and the rest of the shit that was muy mal and no bueno- got all the white papers i collected and informative yt vids i copied and started formulating a battle strategy on what moves to make next.... and i wait...,.ya know, you can have all the f'ckn intel on a subject but without a "MENTOR" or some kindof tolerant wise teacher "skilled in the ways of the force"...or coding...in this case, yer just another sucker that's five minutes away from brickin his shit and being S.O.L...so here i sit with the tools waiting to be unleashed on the world....but I could really use some direct, step by step, instruction in what i should do next........anybody..,...(fyi- in the interm I have kept busy acquiring CEX RTM capable tools, when used with CCAPI- just cause I didnt wanna arttempt to "flip" my "bug" to DEX and screw it up.....so I'm standing by----
