And regardless he's not able to connect his ps3's ip too any programs or tools on the computer.. How should he go about fixing this is he missing a step? New too modding.. Thanks!!!

probably tool is for DEX console. try find CEX one and connect using CCAPI.

Did he install the CCAPI pkg on the PS3?

He's got to launch blackbox FTP or multiman or something then he can go to FileZilla and connect, Host: he types his ip and the password and username you can keep blank and port is, 21. It should connect then.

Tool is for CEX, yes he's installed the CCAPI package on his ps3 an runned it. And I'll try your method Quan. Hopefully that works.

Honestly I wish I could get a direct answer because as much as people try an help nothing has worked yet. I don't quite understand what my friend should do.. I've tried everything I know but it hasn't helped. If anyone can find out more information I'd love you forever lol.. Thanks.
