Just read some more threads on here and u'll be fine

Don't have an ethernet cord going directly from your ps3 to your PC. Hook them both up to your routher, use the ethernet to hook the ps3 up to the router, the PC doesnt matter. And that should be fine.

i use wifi RTM . PS3 TO PC Ethernet Cable. Works Fine.
