I can downgrade to 3.55 I know that already, I have heard that the E3 has some parts that are pretty fragile and are easily broken if not careful.

Just thought I get some input.

I'd stick to E3 Flasher mate. There a loads more easy to follow tutorials on it and doesn't require any soldering. The only downside is that it only works for NOR chips.

I read that progskeet could do both NOR/NAND

Yeah that's what I'm worried about since, I don't know what is the right way even after watching the tutorial videos, I feel like I might push it too hard and break it. Wish there was a local service to have this done at haha

Yeah I got a Slim PS3 so I'm sitting with a NOR chip. Just worried about breaking the E3 Flasher by some chance.

You won't break it :p Worst case scenario is you brick your PS3, but it can be easily undone
