I know there are a bunch of tutorials but I still do not get it (I am obviously new to this). Can someone please help and provide download links, etc I have a 4.50 ITA DEX CFW PS3, A Belkin Router, and a Windows 8 Lap Top.. What should I do? Do I need an ethernet cable and some extra programs? What I am supposed to do on Lap Top and PS3 to be able for the RTM/RTE Tools to connect and attach please help me and give me details..
Well since you're on DEX that means you can RTM over a wireless or wired connection, with a wireless connection you would have to connect to your PS3 using the CEX/CCAPI option on RTM tools and on a wired connection you would use the DEX/TMAPI option, but if you're on a wired connection you can still use the CEX/CCAPI option. So if you want to RTM on a wireless connection just setup your PS3 on a wireless connection and then you have to install the CCAPI package file, the CCAPI package file lets you connect to your PS3 with your IP and you don't need a EBOOT or a Wired Connection. So here is the download for the CCAPI package file: You must login or register to view this content.
Once you've downloaded it put the .pkg file to the root of your USB, then plug the USB to the right USB port (closest to your disc drive) of your PS3. Then install the package file and run it, it should restart your PS3. Then go on any game and find a good RTM Tool corresponding with the game, and simply connect and attach, when your connecting it will ask for your IP Address, the ip address you put is your PS3's internal IP, to figure it out go to the XMB menu, go to settings, system settings, and then it should tell you your IP address.
If you want to RTM on a wired connection you need to have a EBOOT in the USDIR of the game you want to mod on, and you need to have a ethernet cable going from your PS3 to your computer, once you have that done you need to either bridge the connections or share the connections between each other. Then simply setup your PS3 network settings to wired, and you will need "Target Manager" if you want to mod using the DEX/TMAPI option on the rtm tool your using, so here is where you can download target manager. It's in the description of the video,
Once you've downloaded it find your PS3's ip address, and write it down. Open Target Manager and Add a Target, and add it as "debugging station" and then enter your ps3's ip and then connect. Then simply go on the game you want and connect and attach and start modding

Just one question so I just connect with ccapi and keep it open and then after I am going to use an 1.0.7 rtm tool for ghosts then even though I am on dex I would click the cex option and from there the tool would work and I would be able to mod and I do not need an eboot.bin (debug) nor a pkg update?

Exactly, after you've ran the .pkg on your PS3, open up any game, and simply connect using the CCAPI/CEX option using your PS3's IP address, no eboot needed.
hey i used a Belkin router for about a year and non of my friends could join my lobby on ANY COD, i could only join theirs. after much research i found that the Belkin router is not good to do online gaming with. after getting a netgear they were able to join my lobby. im not saying this will fix your problem but i HIGHLY recommend changing routers. google it if you dont believe me..
