(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok, I am way in over my head here and don't want to screw anything up. I recently converted to DEX and got onto PS3ita 4.50 firmware. There is an issue with my ps3 or something that whenever I try to start any menu on MW3, it freezes. CCAPI works just fine on the original eboot, but tmapi just isn't working for me.

That being said, I wanted to convert back to CEX. I have the NORBIN files for CEX and DEX. From what I understood from the numerous tutorials I have searched for answers in, they say simply go to rebug firmware, run rebug toolbox and rewrite the flash dumps and lv2 kernals. My issue is, I seem to be unable to get back to any rebug firmware and rebug toolbox will not allow me to rewrite anything involving the flash without it.

My question: What in the world do I do from here? This is way above my skill level to solve and I do not want to risk bricking my system because I am ignorant of how it works. If anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated.

Also, please do not tell me to "just go Google it" or anything of the sort. I wouldn't be here if I hadn't done researched on Google long enough to give myself a migraine.

It freezes because once you attach the process in Debugger you have to go back and click play in target manager.

How do I do that? I look in Target Manager and from what I saw, there is no play option in the right-click menu on the ip or the Target drop-down menu at the top.

All I know is that my ps3 connects to target manager just fine. Mw3 has issues loading up sometimes with the debug eboot, but for the most part gets on. I can get online and into a private match. Once there, I can connect and attach Project Tornado. When I press start menu, I freeze.

All I have done is get target manager connect to my ps3, replace the eboot, and tried to rtm. Is there anything else I am missing here? I heard of "elf" files. I don't know if I need them though or if I did, where to put them. Sorry, I am a total noob at this.

1. Start mw3 with debug eboot
2. go and open ps3 debugger
3. an eboot.bin should come up
4.go and click right click on it and click start process
5.ps3 should freeze.
6. go to top bar and click the play button
7. your ps3 should unfreeze
8. close debugger
9. play mw3!

4. I saw "Attach Process" but not start process. Did that. Pulled up a menu saying something about missing symbols with three options. Picked continue without.
5. Froze

7. Still froze, although the three times I tried it, the first unfroze w/o menu music. I will continue with the one that worked at this point.

9. Tried to start private match. Froze. Just my luck to run into to problems at the last minute. xD

Remember, I am a TOTAL NOOB at this and still would rather be back with CEX if possible. CCAPI was much easier. xD
