check under properties it need to be PUP

Yes it is a pup file. But it has opens with Internet Explorer

Hey if it is infact a PUP file then your ps3 will recognize it as an update. If it is not, when you try to update by device, it will not show up. Also make sure your flash drive is formatted to FAT32 and the update file is named correctly in the proper folders. Hope this helps.

Folders and File name exactly:

PS3 > UPDATE > PS3UPDAT.PUP
