So I have a rare and unique question, try and bare with me on this. I have a OFW PS3 that has a broken Blu-Ray disc drive. Which is how/why it's stuck in a Firmware update loop. It was last set up for wireless internet, yet my router has been changed so it wont show up when I try to obtain it's CID for my JB.
The question's:
1. Is there a way to kick it from the firmware update loop? (I've tried alot to do this)
2. If I connect it directly to my router will it automatically pick up on the direct connection due to it looking for the firmware update without a usb in?
Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.
Isnt getting your cid via packet sniffing patched? I thought now the only way you can get your cid is dumping your nor chip. If your ps3 cant install the BD firmware then you're gonna get an error and the update will start over
