Choose the CFW ( Custom Firm Ware ) you want. I recommend Rebug 4.21 because no spoofer is involved/needed. And it's so easy to use and RTM ( Real Time Mod ).

Step 2. After choosing what cfw you want, you're going to need to know how to convert it into DEX.

* DEX is a developer ps3 type, you can do a lot of things you can't do much with a CEX ps3.

Step 3. To convert it to DEX you're going to need to follow a tutorial I used which was made by Mzbomberzz, he goes full step by step on how to convert it.

* DONT INSTALL ANY CFW BEFORE CONVERTING TO DEX, IF YOU DO IT'LL MAKE THINGS A LOT HARDER TO FOLLOW WHAT HE TELLS YOU WHAT TO DO. ( that's what happened to me, I immediately installed something because I was too excited. )

Step 4. After converting to DEX you're going to need to set the proper settings on the new 'ebug Settings' option located under 'Net word settings' option. In order to RTM

Step 5. Install all necessary packages ( Packages: Apps that you install on your USB Flash Drive and then install it on your ps3 for tweaks ) so that you can get ready to mod.
Some packages that are mandatory:
Psninja - deletes history from modding so sony can't track you.
FTP Box server - Allows you to connect to FileZilla
* FileZilla allows you to connect your ps3 and get ALL of the folders, mostly used for adding EBOOT's to COD games.
* EBOOT- A custom made File made for wanted modifications like xp lobby or force host.
Rebug toolbox- Another XMB but has more modifications that you can edit such as connecting to psn to play online.
MultiMan * THIS IS A MUST *
Edit, back up, copy, modify, update, set permission, and install files to games without FileZilla.
This baby does everything.
( I recommend you don't use MultiMan when you're online on the psn because it's easier for sony to track )

Step 6. You're done! You can now be stress free from worrying if you could brick your ps3. Have fun! Any questions? Feel free to message me on skype. gunattacks

I know you're talking about DEX CFW, but others might not know. You should specify that on CEX a spoofer is required.

What if they want Rogero 4.55 CFW and only this CFW?
Specify if they want a DEX CFW that they will have to end up on 3.55 CFW to dump their EID_ROOT_KEY and then install Rebug CFW to complete the process

Nice tutorial, really ,But there are quite a few problems,
1. Net word settings? , You should double check Grammatical Mistakes.
2.The Thread is no where Near Organized
3.

Its not Difficult to Downgrade if You are Already on a CFW.
4. Rebug Toolbox is not an XMB, its an XMB style Toolbox .
And just a few More issues Here and There.

But Overall, Great Thread :wub:

Don't forget to mention the part where you will need to be on 3.55 or lower.
