The only game that I keep on hand is GTA V since I play it alot...
Well, my cousins have been trying to get me to play this older COD game, but I don't have it with me(only on my hard drive)
I normally dual boot to play online(when I have the original discs with me), but I want to play this online now.
So, my question is, what would be the best route?
I have an old console thats broken, but I still have the dump from it.
I dragged it into the program 'PS3 consoleID'
it gave me a Console ID and PSID(both are 32 digits though)
Are these the only two numbers I need so that the system I'm currently using doesn't get console banned?
Also, which program do you recommend that I use to apply these to my PS3?

Use things like psnpatch or psnope to lower the chance on being banned.
If u change ur cid to ur old broken ps3 one it could get banned and u'd waste a nice id for yourself , theres plenty of sites that still give out id's everyday so i suggest u use one of those.

What we be the purpose of keeping the cid, if I never use it?
Also, psnpatch allows me to change me psid and cid as well, right?
all I do on psnpatch is install the package, place the text files in the right location, run the game through multiman, then launch the psnpatch pkg from xmb then click 'X', right?

Maybe there will be an occasion that you might need it. You never know
And i sold my ps3 long time ago , dont k ow the interface of everything anymore =p but when you install it it should speak for itself.
