I know all of the abbreviations and such, so I am not that much of a noob. Now a while ago, I was wanting to Jailbreak my ps3 veeery badly! I gave up after about 3 days of trying. Now I am wanting to Jailbreak it again. I know what you are thinking. Stupid noov that dosen't know anything. Is it okay if we can put that aside for a bit?

Anyway I DO understand you have to be on OFW 3.55 to JB into CFW
I DO understand the risks of jailbreaking...

but I need to ask... MY PS3 IS ON OFW 4.55 (latest)! I want to know a way to either:
- Jailbreak on this ofw ( I will get back to this in a sec)
- Find a way to downgrade to 3.55 WITHOUT the use of an E3 flasher or taking my ps3 apart at all
- or find a way to mod games without jailbreaking (E.G DNS hacking, game save editing prefebally for GTA 5 and Black Ops 2)

I have tried to Jailbreak on 4.55 by using ROGERO 4.55 and ZERO 4.55 Jailbreak, but it gets up to about 70% into installing the profile on my ps3 and then is says the data is corrupted. Is there a way to fix this error?

I just need multiman to get started like most JB'ers do.

IT IS A SUPER SLIM PS3. I have heard some people say you cant even Jailbreak super slim at all...

So is there anyone out there kind enough to answer these questions or give me advice about it? Or if there is planned to be a jailbreak for OFW 4.55 for super slim ps3's?

Your ps3 is a Super slim which is not even downgrade able
if you had an ordinary slim ps3 that would be able to be downgraded which requires an E3 flasher but it depends on the model number which is printed on the back of the ps3 on the white label

You can not just put a usb into the ps3 with the CFW or downgrade .pup because it will just give you corrupt data as you said

The only firmware that can be jail broken is 3.55 anything over can not be jail-broken e.g. 3.56 But once jailbroken you can switch between high cfw's such as Rebug Rogero Ps3ita ( Which requires Dex comparability )

You need hardware flasher to downgrade PS3 from 3.56 and higher, there is no going around it. Superslim can not be downgraded even with hardware flasher.

Forget about jailbreaking the super slim. At this point you can only use an ODE (optical disc emulator) to run back ups and a little bit of homebrew. But, you wont be able to install CFW into it.

You will need an older model and must likely will need a flasher to downgrade to jailbreak.

You need a flasher in order to downgrade PERIOD and that does require you to open the ps3.

The only way to have mods onto your OFW ps3 is if someone data transferred their mods from their CFW onto your OFW, thats the only option i would know. If you're really that desperate just go buy one off of Ebay.
