So heres the deal. I am getting my PS3 downgraded ATM and I want to be ready to mod online as soon as I get it back (Should be back by next wednesday at the latest). So my question is, what do I need to do to be ready to mod online as soon as I get it back (I have been following the jailbreak community quite closely so do not feel afraid to use technical terms).

You'll need to install a CFW. If your PS3 is going to be downgraded to 3.55 OFW then first you need to download 3.55 KEAWM CFW. After that, you can pretty much install any other CFW you'd like. I reccommend not getting DEX and staying with CEX. Get something like 4.50 rogero CFW. The rest is pretty much easy after that. All you need is a console API manager for CEX and a tool for the game you want to mod.

Whats the difference between 4.46 Rebug or 4.50 rogero?

4.46 Rebug REX/CEX has almost the same features as DEX except you can't use target manager you have to use CCAPI to mod. And you can't enter the PS Store
4.50 Rogero is just a simple CFW without none of the features of DEX you can still use CCAPI and you can enter the PS Store also newer games are compatible with this firmware

If you want to mod online, You might aswell convert cex to dex theres many tutorials out there, reason being modding with CCAPI will make you look like the biggest noob
